mm wave measurement

Power measurements on and in RF systems are generally problem-free. Handy and compact measuring instruments are available for all conceivable applications. But what if reliable measurement results are required for applications in the mm wave and sub-mm wave range?

The measuring device of choice here is the Erickson PM5B from VDI, which has been further optimised in the version just presented. The measuring head of the PM5B operates in the WR10 band, i.e. in the 75 - 110 GHz range. High-precision accessories, so-called tapers, provide for adjustments and thus make measurements in the waveguide bands, currently up to WR0.34 beyond 3 THz, possible.

Find all technical details about PM5B in the data sheet.

This provides you with the certainty of reliable measurement results that are also traceable – a feature that no other measuring instrument can offer in this range, making the PM5B a de-facto standard.
Do you have an older model, like a PM4? We would be happy to check for you at what price an upgrade to PM5B is possible. This will give you better noise performance, shorter measurement times and a USB interface instead of RS-232, with which you may, for example, conveniently integrate your instrument into a LabView environment.
